A listed company lives or dies by how much the market trusts its numbers. You will make that story precise, consistent, and hard to caricature.
The work
- Run the IR calendar: earnings, capital-markets events, and non-deal roadshows.
- Build and maintain the fact book: results, leverage, guidance, and the one-slide thesis.
- Prepare spokespeople so they never improvise the number that matters.
- Run a credit-holder communications programme that is distinct from common-equity IR.
- Track short theses and answer them with arithmetic rather than adjectives.
What you have already done
- 8+ years in investor relations, equity research, or capital-markets coverage.
- A writing sample a portfolio manager would forward to a colleague.
- Composure on camera. You will be asked about a bad quarter on live television.
- Willing to be in Miami or Tysons most of the week.
Fit
- You brief institutions and retail differently but tell them the same thing.
- You would rather publish a table than a metaphor.
- You have no interest in becoming the story yourself.
